Τουλάχιστον 22 άνθρωποι έχασαν τη ζωή τους και περισσότεροι από τριάντα τραυματίστηκαν ύστερα από σιδηροδρομικό δυστύχημα που προκλήθηκε από την κατάρρευση γερανού στη βόρεια Ταϊλάνδη, σύμφωνα με τις τοπικές αρχές.
«22 άνθρωποι σκοτώθηκαν και πάνω από (άλλοι) 30 τραυματίστηκαν», ανέφερε ο Τσατσαπόν Τσιναγουόνγκ, αξιωματικός της αστυνομίας στην επαρχία Ναχόν Ρατσασίμα, βορειοανατολικά της Μπανγκόκ, σε δηλώσεις του στο Γαλλικό Πρακτορείο.
